Novo Boutique Living Expands into Mexico City, Marks Second International Location

(NEW YORK, NY – NOVEMBER 14, 2018) — Novo Boutique Living, an innovative hospitality concept that merges rental solutions with social community, welcomes the first Mexico location to its ever-growing portfolio of furnished apartment buildings. Nestled in Juárez, the heart of Mexico City, the new property also marks Novo’s second international housing offering – further catering to the needs of the brand’s global membership roster.

In accordance with all Novo operated properties, the building boasts 28 fully-furnished apartment units – all of which come equipped with 24/7 concierge access, free WiFi, an outdoor terrace and private bathroom. Select units offer a kitchen with electric stove, coffee machine, toaster and microwave for its guests. This property also stands at the company’s first-ever short-term stay rental location, providing members with a 24-hour front desk and the option to rent a unit for one night. It is located on 168 Calle Rio Nazas, just blocks away from The Angel of Independence and United States Embassy.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Mexico City as the newest member of the Novo Boutique Living family,” says Lucas Hewett, CEO of Novo Boutique Living. “With international tourism forecasting nearly 50 million by 2021, it was a perfect choice for our brand as we continue to heed the demands of our growing roster of clients and business travelers.”

Following the Berlin, Germany opening this past July, the expansion into Mexico City not only serves as Novo Boutique Living’s second international opening this year, but also its fourth market opening in just under four months. In total, the brand now has a presence in five markets and aims to have seven by the end of 2018.

The second phase of the opening will consist of launching the brand’s Novo Locale in Mexico City, a members-only hub that seeks to solve the loneliness of travel by creating a social network and communal space for members to meet and connect. Is the looming end of summer getting you down? We feel you. But it’s not over yet! Luckily, we have one last chance to escape the city before the fall grind begins: Labor Day Weekend. If you’re anything like us, you’re still trying to figure out where all the time’s gone and haven’t even started planning your summer finale. But fear not—we’ve put this list of Labor Day getaways together so you can celebrate the end of summer like never before.

Newport, Rhode Island

If you’re looking for a nearby escape by the sea, Newport is just the spot for you! Once known as the main summer hub for some of the country’s wealthiest families, Newport offers historical sites with a flare of modern influence. From sailing, to the town’s quirky shops, to the famous cliff walk and mansions, this destination has a little bit of everything for anyone to enjoy.

Lake Tahoe, California

If you’re looking to swap coasts for a weekend filled of outdoor fun, look no further than Lake Tahoe, California. This freshwater lake is a vacation hotspot at any time of year, offering epic hiking trails, swimming, kayaking, jet skiing, and wakeboarding. If that’s not enticing enough, the 24-hour casinos and late night venues offer a vibrant nightlife so you can celebrate the end of summer up to that very last hour.

Key West, Florida

Looking for a tropical paradise without the stress of leaving the country? Look no further than the southernmost point in the United States: the Florida Keys. The Keys are known for historical sites, such as The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, white sandy beaches, and lively nightlife. For the beer lovers out there, this is the perfect vacation to indulge by taking part in the annual Key West Brewfest, scheduled over Labor Day weekend.

Quebec, Canada

Dreaming of a French bohemian escape but dreading long distance travel? Consider Montreal for your Labor Day vacay. This French-Speaking city has it all, from cobblestoned neighborhoods covered in sidewalk sales, to local beaches and cuisine (like Canada’s  famous poutine), you can soak up those European vibes and taste Canada’s culture—without having to fly overseas.

Poconos, Pennsylvania

Yearning for a more rugged excursion to wrap up summer? Take to the Pocono Mountains for an adventure-filled weekend of zip lining, white water rafting, fishing, canoeing, or hiking. While there are plenty of accommodation options in the Poconos, these rolling mountains offer breathtaking views, hidden waterfalls, and thriving forests—perfect scenery to pitch a tent and experience the outdoors under the stars.

Hamptons, Long Island

If staying local is more your speed, hop on the Long Island Rail Road and be swept away to the sandy beaches of the Hamptons. For New Yorkers it’s the ultimate weekend summer haven: a string of sea towns known for their shingled windmills, varying quirky antique shops, and high end restaurants and nightlife. Often referred to as NYC’s playground, you can indulge in anything from designer boutiques to late night parties at Surf Lodge or Ruschmeyer’s for the ultimate summer send off.

Finger Lakes, New York

Wine Country. Need we say more? And no, we’re not talking about Long Island. If you’re hoping for a relaxing wine-filled weekend outdoors, look no further than Finger Lakes, New York. This region is known for its adventurous water sports, rolling hills, plentiful wineries, stunning shorelines, and did we mention wine? The farmlands and vineyards are known to produce some of the country’s best rieslings, so pack your bags and head upstate to relax and unwin(e)d.

Saratoga, New York

If you’re looking for some action (not that kind of action), then head upstate to Saratoga for some good ol’ BBQin’ goodness at the race track. Labor Day Weekend, known as the Final Stretch Weekend, brings all kinds of activities to the streets of Saratoga. From Fashion Saturdays, to Taste NY, to lounging trackside, you can bet your horses that your end of summer weekend will be one helluva hurrah.

We celebrated the ever-growing Novo community this August in New York City by hosting an intimate dinner at an exclusive new space in Downtown Manhattan, open to Novo Members for one night only.

Welcome drinks and a meet & greet were followed by a first-class, Mediterranean four-course menu consisting of family-style sharing plates. The dinner was accompanied by a selection of wines for you to enjoy throughout the night.

See highlights from the special evening of wining and dining with our founders as they connected with our ever growing Novo family at 19Cleveland.
